Our difference begins with admitting the flaws in the current home care model and recognizing that these can be overcome through technology, communications and a better plan.  Traditional home care has provided an adequate service for seniors in need of periodic visitors to perform miscellaneous tasks, and provide some level of companionship.  This model reacts to problems during the short visit (typically 4-6 hours per day)  and isn’t equipped to anticipate health and wellness issues before they become a serious problem.  Most seniors don’t require this level of service (face-to-face visitation from a stranger), and the engagement lacks the true needs of the senior…health, wellness and companionship from true companions (family and friends).  Additionally, most families cannot afford the average monthly cost of this service.

Our plan lowers the cost of home care while improving health and wellness which translates into longevity for the senior.  The HCA Community is actively involved in daily monitoring and management of the loved one, monitoring health, wellness, security and safety, while the family communicates through socialization tools that keep the loved one engaged and involved in family activities, scheduled reminders, appointments, events, photos, etc.  Longer and happy retirements are what makes HomeCare Alternative different.
